On July 1, 2014, Dr. Brand became the Superintendent of the Acton-Boxborough Regional School District.
Prior to coming to AB, Glenn was the Assistant Superintendent for Administration and Finance in the Sharon Public Schools where his primary responsibilities included overseeing the financial and administrative affairs of the district.
From 2006 - 2011 Glenn was the principal of the Pollard Middle School in the Needham Public Schools. During his tenure he helped coordinate the implementation of standards based education, common and formative assessments and curriculum mapping. Glenn also played an instrumental role in leading the High Rock School building and renovation project. He spearheaded the planning, design and implementation of an advisory-advisee program and helped lead the implementation of the district’s first engineering program for middle school students.EDTech Instructional Technology team delivers site-based support for our students and staff. In support of over 4,000 devices, our knowledgeable and friendly desktop support team provides fast and effective troubleshooting of computer problems, and can evaluate needs and requirements of new hardware purchases. Along with our hosted online support system, users can request group and one-on-one training as needed.

Under the leadership of Marie Altieri, the Human Resources Department directs the recruitment, hiring, evaluation of all staff, and the placement of substitute teachers. The Acton-Boxborough Schools employ over 900 full and part-time teachers, counselors, administrators, and support staff. For more information, please view the Human Resources section. Under the direction of Erin Bettez, Acton-Boxborough Community Education program provides an array of classes, programs, and unique opportunities to learn something new about the community, our world, and/or ourselves. This impressive organization is a wonderful part of our district team and extends the richness that our school system provides to the greater community. Under the leadership of JD Head, the Facilities and Transportation department manages and maintains all buildings and grounds as well as the transportation system for AB. All of the staff aim to deliver excellence in managing resources and in supporting the learning environment of our students and faculty.
Under the leadership of Deborah Bookis, the Curriculum Department is a resource for support staff, parents, teachers, and administrators as we form a teaching and learning community endeavoring to provide effective instruction for students PreK-12. When teaching (curriculum, instruction, and assessment) results in learning (understanding at meaningful levels) with positive attitudes towards the process and one another, we know that our goals for our community have been achieved. The partnership with parents/guardians and the communities of Acton and Boxborough is essential in providing the very best education for our students. Under the supervision of Mary Emmons, the department offers a continuum of specialized services from the preschool level to the age of 22. Learning Center programs, specialized programs, and related services are provided to meet the needs of individual learners. All programs emphasize skill development and skill remediation along with the development of self-advocacy skills for greater independence and responsibility for learning.
