How to Enable the Chromebook Zip Unpacker to Resolve "Could Not Unzip" Error
If you encounter the error message shown here when attempting to install an App from the Chrome Web Store to a Chromebook, you need to enable the ZIP unpacker, using the following steps.
(Note: this is a known issue with the Explain Everything App)
  1. Open the Chrome browser
  2. In the URL search tab enter: chrome://flags
  3. Press CTRL-F and search for the word "zip"
  4. Look for the Chrome flag labeled "Disable the new ZIP unpacker".
  5. Enable the flag
  6. Restart the Chromebook
  7. Install the app (ie, Explain Everything) from the Chrome Web Store
